Weeeeeeel, after a terrible time getting it all set up, it's finally done! If you go to www.theministry.tv, you'll get redirected, but you can also go straight to www.myteamanimation.co.uk to sample the wonders of the stuff. Check it out! Let me know what you think of the website and of The Ministry.
Wow, i joined this site today and i am most impressed. the ministry? seems like a most simple idea, yet the amount of work your team have put in seems , simply staggering.
but, and i do hope you don't mind my asking.... what is Animo 6 and why is it all that good?
Just viewed your website. I can see many years of prep work, you've really fleshed out your characters, your cels are nice, I love the model elevations, etc., you must have some kind of landscape designor, sculptor, or architect on your team (?) I think your story concept is irreverent, but in a precious sort of way, it's not edgy enough to be revolutionary (that is, to appeal
to , what you called, your 'secondary audience'-24-60 year olds), but then, that could just be me, I don't buy the 'fall', so a satire on the bible seems redundant (oh-oh-rustled some feathers there). I like the marooned toys idea, it seems you could pull off some really dark humor there, I agree you have some true archetypes in the cast, but, spoiled actress (Ginger), not quite part of the psychic organ we call the 'archetype'. The most intriguing proposal, for me, was 'Creature Basement', but you had the least information on it, or did I miss something? Nice work, lets see more! since when is Beelzebub an Aries, I'm an Aries and I'm not the least bit opinionated, and I don't have to get my way, and I don't need to be accepted (please) Bird
Hi Birdy,
Thanks for getting back to me.
Yes, you are quite right, years and years of preparation have gone into it!
I recognise that the concept may seem a little irreverrent, but at no time do we mock religion.... just question the afterlife! Hopefuly we are going to get a site up and running that is dedicated to The Ministry alone, it's being a nightmare though trying to finish the trailer in time for Cartoon Forum and do that too. However, hopefully, through having The Ministry site, we can monitor who logs on and who it has the most appeal to... I think 24 - 60 was a bit of a stab in the dark.
In the initial stages of development, we had several really helpful who advised on religion, architecture... However, it was a lot of research, that drew us to reflecting different periods and cultures of architecture, religiously symbolic and popular myth for location design as influences for the design of The Ministry.
thanks again, anyone else got anything to say?
Cheers Nick,
If you want to know about the software we used have a peek at www.cambridgeanimationsystems.com
www.myteamanimation.co.uk

Hey Hamish!
I meant 'irreverent' in a GOOD WAY! Please, continue to make merry of religion! :D Bird
Oh thank GOD! will do, thanks for the advice!
