The world's first self-conained "Airport Film Festival"

New Chitose Airport, a gateway to Hokkaido Island and one of the biggest airports in Japan, is equipped with all the facilities required to stage a film festival, such as a movie theater, a conference hall, accommodation facility and spa facility, resulting in the world's first self-contained "airport film festival" in 2014. The international competition for short animated films is held with a 1 million yen grand-prix. Last year the festival was huge success gathering about 30 thousands of attendance in 4 days.
