Paramount has tapped Steve Zaillian (SCHINDLER'S LIST) to rework the latest Jack Ryan film, according The Hollywood Reporter. Zaillian was a script doctor on the Jack Ryan film PATRIOT GAMES.

Jack Bender, longtime TV director for such shows as LOST, THE SOPRANOS and ALIAS, is helming the feature. STAR TREK's Chris Pine is set to take the lead in the franchise reboot.

Production was set to begin in March, but has been pushed. But the time frame for Pine is getting short with his commitments to the STAR TREK sequel approaching.
