If you create something on Maya PLE and then decide to start a business using the creation can you take it with you?? The PLE description says its for non-commercial use and learning. Would you need to upgrade to Maya Unlimited or Complete and transfer the design to Unlimited or Complete in order to use it?? Does anyone have an email address to contact Alias service/support?? I could not contact Alias without joining a group. I'm looking to get genreal info from them on Maya 5 and 6 I can't find on the website.
The Maya PLE file format is completely incompatible with the regular Maya format. At least thats what it was in Maya 5. That means you could not take your maya ple files and put them in Maya. Perhaps they are writing some plugin or converter to do it, but as far as I know if its built in PLE, it has to stay in PLE.
