Does anyone know what was used to make the cartoons
on the Warner Brothers Looney Tunes site?
Although the cartoons themselves are overall mediocre,
the animation (at times) is not bad.
Did they use Flash?
Also anyone know what one of those 3 min Web Cartoons
would cost to produce?

I believe it is Flash.
I've yet to see a Flash animated Looney Tune that looks really good.
Thomas Timberwolf was the best Looney-tune-ish cartoon. It looked good and was animated well. Animated by Atomic (Betty) and directed by Chuck Jones...go figure....but it wasn't a WB cartoon iirc.
It's been a long time since I watched the web-specific cartoons on the CN website. It's understandable that no matter how one limits a classic Looney tune, it will look inferior. What I couldn't understand is how they created such S**T! using Yogi Bear etc. Those characters are so made for Flash and they they did such an awful, infantile job !
....back to what I was saying about embracing and using limitations (http://forums.awn.com/showthread.php?p=19276#post19276)
Thanks for that info on CHuck Jones flash cartoons, i watched
the first couple and they are definatly LT influenced :)
I am about to start getting into flash and if you can make cartoons
like the LT ones on the WB site , thats pretty good for computer
animation quality.
I agree.
Still no way near the old classic cartoons of the 40's and 50's, but
better than nothing :)

Oh BTW, Harley, when I say:

That has more to do with the artists or the limitations of time and budget given the artists, not the software.
