I've seen a lot of tutorials for drawing/animating in Flash, and a lot of tutorials for programming in Flash -- but what I'm having trouble finding, but what I'd really love to get ahold of, are tutorials that teach you how to do lots of neat special effects in Flash 8 -- like one might find for Photoshop, or a 3d program. Just, neat things you can do with the look of a picture -- tricks, really. Not for animating -- not for stretching or bending or morphing... But for colors, lines, forms and effects. It's kind of hard to explain, sorry. :| But if one takes a look at tutorials for Photoshop and the graphical side of 3d programs, you'll see what I'm getting at.
Anyone with any links? :) Thanks!
I am still using Flash MX, so I can't tell you about all the new filter gismos included with 8, but I could show you some tricks that I learned with the free transform tool, and the fill transform tool and others, but you are probably looking for the easy eye candy. Even in the early versions of Flash there were a lot of things you could do, if you just gave the tools a run for their money.

I don't know what i'm looking for, actually. :) I just want to know what's possible, really.
Here are some online articles that came out when Flash 8 debuted. They talk about all the bells and whistles available and how you can use them:
