My group's animation project

AWN's Show and Tell

Hello bonjour everyone ^_^ Me n my group are doing an animation thingy to test our skills n have fun. Going to show the finished version at a local comic convention here. It's not much though, no story, just our characters animated in a video game opening kinda way n stuff...

Malaysia's 2D industry is practically DEAD. So we hope we can make a big impression on the local and overseas people with this project. Hopefully make short films with actual stories and send em to animation festivals [OMG, excited!] XD

So uhm please tell us what you think of us newbies :)

I like the style. I couldn't follow the animatic story without dialogue of course. It seemed quite cinematic though. Keep us posted on your progress.

AlanO - Haha, heyas! Well there's practically no story in it really so dont worry hehe Treat it like MTV where nothing really makes sense hohoho :B We'll keep you posted!

Hey, i liked it.

There are some neat characters and it read as a good intro credits scene to me.

I really want to see the final one.

You have such great stuff that it seems a shame you can't pull a story out of all this. I'm too old for MTV stuff. I need a story! OK keep posting.

Alan haha dont worry, we're going to concentrate on making more movies. This is sort of a trial run. We're not very good in story and we didnt wanna think about that aspect too much. So we decided to concentrate on the look of the animation. To work out the kinks and stuff. Then with this new knowledge, we'll be able to cut down on the trial and error stuff and concentrate on story :)

cant wait to see it all animated out...and from the look of the little test anim itll be a nice piece..maybe a tad less 80's in the music tho lol...jk its fine. to reiterate everybody elses statements keep us posted!:D

I'm no fan of anime but the stuff looks nice and neat and rather high quality. Do I detect traces of DreamWorks?
