Hi, im a 6th grade teacher in Oregon. I have several boys this year who are going home and making their own digital animation shows with their cameras. These students are very ripe and interested in animation and unfortunately I have no way to guide them.
Ideally I would like to offer an hour long animation class for the students of my school.
You will need to restart this thread in the "The Animation Cafe", where you are sure to get some suggestions.
sounds good
Are you looking for something specific, like book titles or software suggestions?

Won, im looking for any information whatsoever. I would like to be able to walk into my classroom, hand each kid a "whatever" and blow their minds with them creating something totally cool.
Hi,
Check this site --> http://www.karmatoons.com/drawing/drawing.htm
It has a nice drawing tutorial (which i believe the most essential skill of a budding animator). Your students can practice with basic shapes with volume like bouncing ball, twisting jumping rectangle, etc. They can practice drawing the key frames and doing the Inbetween. Then they can use their cameras to shoot their drawings/frames (line test) and see the result.
Warning: i'm not really an artist. it just happens that i am an I.T. guy who likes to work with animation studios and i've seen professional animators/artist do the same process. Many thanks, hope that helps.
