Annecy 2007 - MIFA exhibition

By kerpow | Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at 4:44am

Hi, I'm just wondering if anyone here has been to the MIFA show in Annecy?

I've just come across it and will be going. It would be interesting to hear from anyone else that's been and could share their experiences and stories about the value and networking possibilities of the few days there.

Or if you want to discuss anything to do with these events, let me know. I'd be interested to hear about any fantastic US based events for animation. I'm sure there's info on this site somewhere already, but its massive and I'm stretched for 'browsing time' already! Grrr :)

thanks

I was there pitching a project two years ago, and its great for contacts - particularly European and Asian. I also noticed that its not a handshake type place - the suits consider it more an artsy forumto see and be seen. Sign-offs seem to be done elsewhere. But good place to get a foot in the door.
Another venue to consider is the Cartoon Movie in Babelberg. Concentrated European co-production market.
