Hi,
I just found this forum. Looks like I can learn a lot by hanging out with y'all!
Thought I'd share some 30-40 second animations I did this summer as intros for some video's a friend and I were making.
If you watch all three you'll see I was trying to improve the animation on each one as I went along (ie: the motion is a bit fast in the second one.)
Anyway...please check 'em out...and let me know what you think.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for checking it out Graphiteman.
I like Robert Smigel's stuff from SNL...and now that you mention it I can see the similarities too.
Ever seen comedian Jim Gaffigan's Pale Force on Conan. Pretty funny...and in a similar style to Smigel.
I like all kinds of animation and guess you could say I'm still finding a "style".
Thanks again!

Thanks to everyone who's taken a look!

I think you've done well. My only suggestion would be to pick up the bezier and round out the right side of his head when he's looking at you head on. But hey maybe that side of his head is flat in real life.

Hey Graphite I have to tell you the other day I saw a truck with your nerds online character plastered all over it. I felt proud. Thought to myself I know the guy that designed that character.

Thanks for checking it out phaker...appreciate your taking the time!
Well...hopefully he wont read this...but he does have an unusual shaped noggin. ;)
He has lots of contour to it and as a caricature...I was trying to capture it.
From the side he has a squareness to his head and a slope (not as extreme of course) from the 3/4 view.
:D
But thanks for the comments...I do appreciate C&C's!

This is getting to the bottom of the page so I'll give it a bump.
Thanks to everyone who's viewed one or more of the videos. I appreciate it.
Also...please feel free to comment. I'm kinda new to animating...and know I have much to learn...so if you see something ya think might help...hope you'll let me know.
Thanks again!

It's a cute idea for a series; words of wisdom from that sagely friend. The animation reminds of the Robert Smigel stuff from SNL. That's a compliment btw.
