Total newbie looking for a stop-motion program (Windows)

Hello everyone, I'm a musician currently making a music video and I'd really appreciate your advice. I'm clueless about video/animation, but always up for trying things myself that I can't afford to pay anyone else to do.

The video will have a few animated inserts, in that comically jerky early Terry Gilliam style. I've shot all the frames for the first of these - 48 frames of dancing lemon and lime slices that will run about 7 seconds.

Unfortunately I'm struggling to find a program that I can use to easily turn these into an animated sequence. I need a program with a lot of flexibility as far as frame length so that I can easily animate in time to the music (some passages run relatively smoothly and others cut jerkily to the beat).

My computing setup is not ideal - a Windows laptop with 4GB of Ram. Also, as someone not looking to do this full time, ideally I'd like something that has monthly subscription available to I can just pay 20 or 30 dollars or something just for the time I need it.

I tried doing it manually in Filmora and found the dragging/dropping in the timeline horribly fussy and clunky to work with. Any pointers much appreciated, thanks!
