Passing along a special note from WIA/LA announcing a fundraising drive for Rusy Mills, who is suffering from colon cancer.
I wanted to pass along this notice from Women in Animation's LA Chapter, announcing a fundraising effort to support Rusy Mills, Exec VP at Studio Kinate, animation teacher as well as award winning director/producer for Animaniacs/Pinky & the Brain, who is fighting a difficult battle with colon cancer. We are all saddened to hear of his illness and our thoughts are with him and his family at this time.

Rusty Mills
As some of you may know, animator and teacher Rusty Mills, a longtime friend of Women In Animation, was diagnosed with colon cancer last year. He had no symptoms, so it came as a dreadful surprise that the disease had already spread to his liver.
Rusty has been fighting this cancer with the most positive attitude that I've ever seen. He is a passionate animator and loves to teach. Rusty was even teaching while receiving chemotherapy.
Rusty's wife, Andrea, and Evan, their 15-year-old son, have been taking care of Rusty. However, things have gotten very tough lately, and they need our help! Rusty has just started a new kind of chemotherapy and the medical bills are accumulating rapidly. Rusty is not able to work right now and he was the main source of income for his family. Andrea is now caring for Rusty full time. Together this family is strong, but it's also been very tough financially and emotionally.
If you would like to contribute any amount, please go to this address: http://www.youcaring.com/medical-fundraiser/Rusty-Mills-Cancer-Fund/35172 and make a contribution. All funds will go directly to the Mills family to help them pay for Rusty's Cancer treatment, groceries and utilities. Prayers are also requested for the Mills family.
With much gratitude and love,
Women In Animation, The Los Angeles Chapter
