Hello.
I am so tired of hearing about all the news of war, killing and so on. I want to organize something for ANIMATORS FOR PEACE. Maybe we could do a film and everyone contribute 30 seconds to a minute of animation. The topic would include a resolution to conflict.
What do you think?
Thanks.

Maybe we could make it in association with ASIFA and Animaton Co-op!

hello guys,,..
I can't commit for sure on this just yet.. but, let's say i'd be VERY interested in it!
P.
I wish you all the best of luck if you decide to go ahead with this, but my experience on these kinds of projects is that they rarely see the light of day, especially when coordinated over the 'net.
When they get done, they can be really cool - it's just been my experience that they almost never get done. Especially when each person's contribution is as long as is being suggested here.
Not trying to throw cold water, as the concept of a peace film is a good one. Just providing perspective from (often painful) experience.
Hello.
I have to say...I am taking this one slow...and I want to see if there is enough interest to do it.
But hey, we are animators so why not use what we have available to us... I feel like I have to do something.
Ya know....
Thanks,
Larry

As an old hippy...I am in....always have been. I'll continue to make my own independent things, but I'd like to be part of the group, if it ever happens.

I working right now on a piece trying to get it out before the election...This is an important election for the "yanks" here.

I hope you all realize the connections Condoleezza Rice has had... an oil tanker named after her... they changed the name when she realized Bush was going to put her in the cabinet. I would like to see the stock holdings of everyone in the administration. We all know Cheney's link's and look at the advantages and profits his old company have garnered. But what about the Carlyl/Bush link...it's hard to trace but someone is profitting while the little guy is dying.
The first president Bush and the bin Laden family have been connected through dubious business deals since 1977, when Salem, the head of the bin Laden family business, one of the biggest construction companies in the world, invested in Bush's start-up oil company, Arbusto Energy, Inc. I don't want to go into great detail, but fortunes have been made, and the American citizenry have been lied to.

Don't get me wrong....I don't like Kerry either. They are both cut from the same cloth. Why can't we have someone clean to vote for?

I vote for TyBear! But then I haven't seen his portfolio either.

This project thing sounds fun. I'm in.
I hear what DSB is saying, and I know its normally true. But if you set it up as some sort of competition with ruff guidelines as to what to include, it could be merged together quite well.
I'm starting my animation degree on the 25th, so will have lots of new stuff to put into practice!
I also think that if you don't put too much pressure on ppl to take part but try to get a wide involvement/interest, (like in som of the previous competitions) you could get alot of good stuff. Maybe keep it pretty open for styles too. Like stuff doesnt have to be cleaned up e.t.c..
I'd do mine in flash at the present time cos thats what I'm best at, but would probably do something ruff/pencil sketchy.
Neway, cool idea,

Well, Phaker, you "Yank", may a "Limey" suggest voting for the constitution party, if it's clean you're after.
God, don't we all know by now what they've all been up to by now, without all the repetition [no offence mate]. (BTW did anyone notice Connie whats-her-face, shaking her head whilst claiming Saddams links to Al Qua-wotsit in the clip towards the end of F911??? Any other armchair psyche's out there with an opinion on this fact?)
Anyhow, uhh, free me from the politics and conspiracy theories, I voted green.
Yes, an animation with the message mentioned. I'd love to do something, it's a very similar theme to the film I'm working on at the moment, so another one on the side can;t hurt.
If it gets going, count me in.
Sorry for reiterrating...but sometimes it feels like people aren't listening. This is something I put together right after the intention to go to war with Iraq was made known.

I voted green last time. I've been told I helped elect GW. Actually with the choice at the time, I was kind of hoping he'd get elected. Gore seemed so boring, but now that I think of it boring would have been a better choice.
