The Gnomon Workshop has release three DVDs by acclaimed artists Taron, Zack Petroc and Keith Thompson, covering organic modeling, art direction and character design.

Luxology's new training division, which recently launched an initial series of modo training videos, has produced a brand new 10-video series that shows users how to model, light and render a sport shoe using modo 203. This series was created by Luxology's training director, Andy Brown, and is the latest offering from the training division.

Digital-Tutors, an Autodesk Authorized Publisher, announced the availability of MAYA MODELING TECHNIQUES: INTERIORS, the latest release in a growing library of interactive training for emerging digital artists using Maya 8.5. MAYA MODELING TECHNIQUES: INTERIORS provides more than five hours of project-based training and a unique approach to learning the production techniques and processes of modeling interior sets in Maya for use in films, games and architectural visualizations.

The Gnomon Workshop is presenting its fifth workshop weekend, March 31 and April 1, 10:00-7:00 pm, Sound Stage 15, next door to the Gnomon School of VFX, 1015 N. Cahuenga Blvd., Hollywood, 90038.

The Gnomon Workshop offers two new Maya training DVDs: INTRODUCTION TO MAYA by Alex Alvarez gives new users a thorough walkthrough of Maya's user interface, architecture, object manipulation and scene management, and John Clark's UNDERWATER ENVIRONMENTS showcases his dynamic effects techniques for developing an animated effects shot. Clark is currently wave animation lead on Sony Pictures Animations SURFS UP.
