Frames Per Second fourth annual online charity auction will benefit The Cancer Research Society: 100% of profits from an eBay auction will be donated. The charity auction cause is selected by the readers of fps earlier in the year. Anyone with Internet access will be able to bid on animation-related items put on eBay by fps. These items include books, CD soundtracks, animation software, posters, pins and DVDs.
Some of the highlights for auction this year include:
* Art of Disney (Tokyo exhibition) bilingual catalogue * Art of Disney (Tokyo) region 2 catalogue DVD *Once Upon A Time Walt Disney (Montreal exhibition) promotional posters * NFB DVDs: Madame Tutli-Putli, The Danish Poet and Ryan * selection of Pixar 'making of' hardcover books * Fullmetal Alchemist collector's box 2 So break out your holiday lists, or your own personal animation wish list and donate to a worthy charity at the same time! Items were donated by fps and a number of generous organizations, including the Ottawa Animation Festival, the Waterloo Festival of Animated Cinema, Dark Horse Comics, Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, Pixar Renderman, Softimage, Toon Boom, and the National Film Board of Canada.
