Bohemian 3D Animation Workshops

The Bohemian 3D Animation project has set the goal to contribute to the revival of the former good reputation of Czech animation and strengthen the positions of young artists in the 3D animation. For this purpose, a series of workshops will take place at the end of the year in Prague. Thanks to these workshops, specialists from various professions will be able to gain a better understanding of the efficiency of 3D animation in both commercial and non-commercial spheres and beginning artists as well as already established artists will gain inspiration and concrete pieces of knowledge for their future professional growth.

Respected professionals from the U.K., France and the U.S. will arrive to share their experiences with the participants. The workshops are organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture and the European program MEDIA.

The main purpose of the individual workshops is to support the development of modern forms of animation and their utilization. Following matters have been taken into consideration during the preparation of individual meetings:

--Competitiveness of the animators on the labor market--Sharing conceptual principals and current approaches in 3D film with local studios--The need and possibilities of retraining of current animators in 3D animation--Popularization of animation and its effective utilization in the domains of education, industry and artistic creation (cinematography).
