"Brainwashed!" Innocent Looking Cartoons That Tell Us What to Think! is curated by author and collector Karl Cohen, author of FORBIDDEN ANIMATION. This highly entertaining survey of animated cartoons featuring classic animated propaganda, some censored, some silly and surreal, shows us who to hate, who to vote for, what foods to eat or drink and most important, what to buy.
Films include: THE SUNSHINE MAKERS, WHOLLY SMOKES featuring Porky Pig, BUGS BUNNY'S BOND RALLY, Winsor McCay's famous 1914 film THE SINKING OF THE LUSITANIA and more. Cohen will attend the screening to introduce the program and answer questions.
