Known as the “Writers Festival” since its inception in 1993, Austin Film Festival recognizes the importance of narrative at the core of filmmaking. Today we are looking for submissions to our 2019 Animated Short competition. Have a great story, we would love to see it!
Siqi Song entered the competition with her animated short film, SISTER, was selected to play, and left Austin Film Festival a 2018 Jury Award winner! Her film continues to play at various Festivals. This could be you! Participate in our competition and you might see your film on the big screen or even be nominated for an Academy Award®. The winner of the Animated Short Jury Award at Austin Film Festival makes the film eligible for consideration in the Animated Short Film category of the Academy Awards®.
