Join us at the "Second Hollywood of Animation!" The 12th edition of the festival will take place August 22nd-25th at Oregon Museum of Science and Industry in Portland. The festival will showcase IMAX screenings of animated shorts and features as well as films from visionary filmmakers. PFCAT includes a juried competition with over 30 awards. Submissions will be open until July 15th.
The event includes parties, informative panels, and special events. These festival networking events are designed to help participating filmmakers meet interesting people in a fun and memorable way. Last year PFCAT included a special presentation from legendary animator and 2X Oscar nominee Bill Plympton. Portland is home to some of the world’s top animation companies and animators. At the 2023 event, Plympton noted that Portland is the “second Hollywood of animation.”
