The annual festival returns to Crete this August and features a poster designed by Academy Award-winning animator Michael Dudok de Wit.
Animafest Cyprus began in 2002 and is one of the longest-running film festivals in Cyprus. It is credited with promoting appreciation of animation in Cyprus and reputed for its quality programming, diverse audience, and active presence in the cultural scene throughout the year.
The festival features international and national competition film programs, parallel screenings, tributes, exhibitions, and masterclasses by international guests. In addition, it hosts a selection of the world’s latest productions, focusing on independent, non-commercial films.
This year’s official selections will be announced on July 3.
