Entertainment For All (E for All) 2008

Produced by IDG World Expo, Entertainment for All Expo (E for All) is North America's premier video game event. A celebration of video games and the people who play them, the event brings together the entire game community, from consumers and media, to publishers, developers and retailers. The Expo features exhibits from leading interactive entertainment companies that allow consumers to test and buy the newest video games and gadgets. In addition, E for All includes professional game tournaments, educational seminars, celebrity appearances, and much more.

This year, on Saturday, October 4 at 11:30am and at 2:30pm, E for All will host two on-site bootcamps open to all show attendees to provide an introduction on the world of video games from basic "how-to's" to gaming terms to what's new and next in games. The meeting place will be at the Education Zone, Booth # 701. Led by video game professional Johnathan "Fatal1ty" Wendel, Chris Morell from GAMEPRO magazine and Trina Schwimmer, CEO/Chief Editor of GamingAngels.com, the program offers expert hands-on instruction including tips, techniques and tactics for gaming via PC, console or mobile devices to gamers of all levels. In addition, as part of the program, the pros will lead show floor tours for Bootcamp participants.

Ubisoft will preview two of its fall releases at E for All. E for All show attendees will be able to test drive FAR CRY 2 and TOM CLANCY'S END WAR before they are able to buy them later this year. The game previews will be available at the Ubisoft booth (#743) at E for All starting October 3, 2008, when the show opens.

On Friday October 3, 2008, up to 600 Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) high-school students will participate in the E for All Education Zone. At the all-new Education Zone, where participating students will obtain a deeper understanding of video games and how they can be incorporated into their future careers, speakers -- including Fatal1ty -- will describe their experience with video games and ways to break into the industry. The students will visit E for All in two groups, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

In addition to these new programs, and as previously announced, E for All will also be hosting the World Cyber Games USA 2008 National Video Game Tournament. The tournament will feature 200 of America's very best players who will compete for the rare chance to make TEAM USA and represent the United States at the WCG 2008 Grand Final, to be held in Cologne, Germany, November 5-9, 2008. The WCG's Grand Final is the culmination of the world's largest videogame tournament.
