One of the most respected regional film events in the nation, the Florida Film Festival was named one of the top 10 festivals in the world by festival guru Chris Gore in his 2001 edition of The Ultimate Film Festival Survival Guide. The Festival features an American Independent Competition with Grand Jury Awards for Narrative Feature, Narrative Short, Animated Short, Documentary Feature, Documentary Short, as well as Special Jury Awards, and Audience Awards for best Narrative Feature, Documentary Feature, Short Film, International Feature and International Short.
