Showcasing independent filmmakers, the Forest Grove Film Festival will premiere this year. The festival wants to bring the independent film world to the public, encouraging interaction between the independent filmmakers and the community in a relaxed, congenial atmosphere. Work representing a wide spectrum of talent, medium, and genre by student filmmakers, new filmmakers and experienced filmmakers will be showcased and presented to the public.
The film festival is part of the Pacific Northwest Film Festivals Series, and aspires to become an annual festival on an international basis. The new festival has the support and backing of The City of Forest Grove, The Chamber of Commerce, Forest Grove City Club, Pacific University, Pacific Northwest Film Festivals, Classic Theaters, The Forest Theater and McMenamins Grand Lodge.
