Raider Prods. will present the world premiere of its first animated shorts compilation feature, North Americas Best Independent Animated Shorts, at the Pacific Cinematheque theater. Featuring 16 of the very best independent animated shorts culled from a search that covered Canada, the U.S. and Mexico, North America's Best Independent Animated Shorts (NABIAS), is the brainchild of exec producer Aaron Keogh. The film, which features animation styles in clay animation, computer graphics and traditional animation, is the first of a new series of animation shorts compilation films to be released each year. It is a project designed to give independent animators a much needed distribution outlet for their work. NABIAS is scheduled to have two screenings at 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm at the Pacific Cinematheque located at 1131 Howe St. Tickets are $5 at the door and are purchased at the box office or in advance by calling Aaron at (604) 291-7727.
