Now in its ninth year, the festival is a 10-day celebration of progressive moving image, which crosses graphically inflected short film, unseen cult Asian features, music video, motion graphics, interactive design, anime, architecture, live performance and club visuals.
Highlight's include panel discussions exposing the creative processes of MTV, Nexus and Unit9; retrospectives of Mike Mills' seminal shorts and music videos; a new live show from groundbreaking collective UVA; toyfiends James Jarvis and Pete Fowler in a head-to-head DJ battle; two breathtaking Korean animated films and a high octane Japanese feature starring Vinnie Jones; educational events featuring Neville Brody and Johnny Hardstaff; and installations by the world's top interactive designers alongside Swedish architecture research group Smartstudio, all in addition to the regular core screening programs.
