PSIAF kicks off its 2018 with a special “Meet the Artists” gathering May 26, 2018, at Agua Caliente Casino in Rancho Mirage.
Meet animation artists involved with some of the most unique and compelling projects and techniques – join the day-long event filled with presentations and industry networking.
Participants include:
Charlene Mosley and Tiffanie Mang - Come experience the magic of Loving Vincent, the first fully painted animated feature! Meet and watch these two artists who worked on the film as they paint a scene from the Oscar-nominated feature.
Chance Raspberry – lead animator on The Simpsons will demonstrate his “Cartoonified” caricature skills.
Dani Bowman – artist with The Academy of Dream Awards, Animators with Disabilities, will lead a special panel discussion.
Peter Paul - noted storyboard artist for Disney, DreamWorks and Illumination Animation, whose credits include Lilo & Stitch, How to Train Your Dragon and more, will demonstrate how a story artists works their magic.
Kevin Mack – award-winning VR artist will present the hands-on virtual world of “Shape Space VR.”
Plus a special screening of 5 Oscar-nominated animated short films!
