The Swiss American Film Festival (SWISSAM)--Where Switzerland meets New Yorkis a celebration of emerging Swiss filmmakers that will make its New York debut this spring, April 25-27, 2003, at the Anthology Film Archives. SWISSAM intends to bring together the American and Swiss film communities, providing a platform for an open exchange of ideas and promoting business opportunities across the Atlantic.
The festival presents more than 50 works, offering a balanced combination of short films, documentaries and animation from Swiss and American filmmakers. Special guests include Albert Maysles, Peter Mettler, Richard Sandler, Oscar-nominated Christian Frei and the 2002 Emmy Award-winning producer Martina Stolbova.
