As part of its mission to prepare tomorrow's creative leaders, the Columbus College of Art & Design will offer a four-day Women in Animation Symposium to celebrate women's achievements in animation and to encourage young women to envision themselves contributing to every part of the industry from personal aesthetic expression to the topmost echelons of production and direction. The symposium is open to the public and free of charge.
The event will include screenings, tours of the college and discussions with leading women animation professionals. The speakers include Clare Kitson, Jayne Pilling, Joanna Quinn, Tamara Lusher-Stocker, Sari Gennis, Rebecca Allen, Jinko Gotoch. On the film day, recruiters from various studios will hold portfolio reviews.
