Prominent industry filmmakers will focus on how the convergence of film origination and digital postproduction affect the workflow during a seminar here on May 21 at Tribeca Cinemas from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. Producer Brian Bell and cinematographers Nancy Schreiber, ASC and Matthew Libatique, ASC will participate in the discussion moderated by Carolyn Giardina, senior editor of SHOOT Magazine. Kodak is hosting the seminar.
Such new tools include the Kodak Look Manager and Kodak Display Manager systems, which are designed to help filmmakers maintain control and communicate their intentions with editors, digital timers and other collaborators on a project. LaserPacific president Leon Silverman will offer insights into issues related to color management and how the evolution of digital intermediate technology is affecting the workflow.
