9 Story Announces New Sales for ‘Daniel Tiger’s Neighbourhood’

Season three of animated preschool series co-produced and distributed by The Fred Rogers Company and 9 Story Media Group headed to Disney Junior in Latin America.  

TORONTO -- 9 Story Media Group has announced that it has licensed season three of the award-winning animated preschool series Daniel Tiger’s Neighbourhood to Disney Junior in Latin America. The first season premiered on the Latin American network in 2013, followed by series two in June of 2015. The third season takes the total number of episodes to 170. 

The popular preschool series originally launched on PBS Kids (U.S.) and CBC (Canada) in 2012. Daniel Tiger’s Neighbourhood is the winner of multiple awards including the 2014 Shaw Rocket Prize, a 2015 Parent’s Choice Award, Best Preschool Animated Series at the 2013 Kidscreen Awards and the 2013 Cynopsis Kids !magination Award for Best Preschool Series.

The series is co-produced and distributed by The Fred Rogers Company and 9 Story Media Group. Executive Producers are Kevin Morrison for The Fred Rogers Company, Angela C. Santomero, co-founder of Out of the Blue and the creative force behind the hit series Blue’s Clues and Super WHY, and Vince Commisso for 9 Story Media Group.  

Daniel Tiger’s Neighbourhood offers engaging storylines modeling the core skills that form the foundation of early childhood development and school readiness. Daniel is a shy but brave 4-year-old tiger who lives in the Neighbourhood of Make Believe. With help from his neighbors, family, and friends, O the Owl, Prince Wednesday, Miss Elaina and Katerina Kittycat, Daniel has fun while learning the key skills necessary for school and life.
