Dedicated to exhibiting all genres of the world's best independent, professional and student animation, Animation Block Party is the premier animation festival of the East Coast. Since the first official ABP film festival on September 9th, 2004, thousands of filmmakers have submitted their animated shorts and screened them at the yearly fest in Brooklyn, NY. The tenth annual Animation Block Party was July 25-28, 2013 at The Music Hall of Williamsburg, Rooftop Films & BAMcinématek, and was attended by over 4,500 fans, filmmakers, industry executives and distributors.

Animation films for submission can be anywhere from 30 seconds to 30 minutes. All genres are welcome, but animation only. Early submissions are $30 and must be postmarked by March 6, 2014. The final deadline for submissions is May 2, 2014, although for an extra $5 ABP will accept late submissions postmarked by June 2, 2014.
