Bucking rumors that he was leaving the series, showrunner Alan Ball has signed on to a fifth season of HBO's TRUE BLOOD, reports The Hollywood Reporter. So it's expected that HBO will be announcing a fifth season renewal soon. The vampire series stars Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer and Alexander Skarsgard. Ball has several other pilots in development at the cable net.
