Former Goodby, Silverstein and Partners' Creative Director Randy Sotwell has merged with One Man Crime Wave's Jeff Linnell and Exec Producer Julia Scahill to launch a creative production company in San Francisco's Potrero Hill.
Autofuss will officially open on November 20.
The studio will concentrate on imaginative branding and entertainment through film production, motion design and animation. With 4,000 square feet of open shooting space, a 50-foot greenscreen, and a RED camera, the studio is positioned to take a project from concept through development and execution.
The team consists of directors, animators, designers and programmers with the obsession for visual culture, high production values and cool tools.
Stowell has spent the last six years growing a motion design group inside Goodby, Silverstein and Partners. The work generated by the team helped win major accounts and build brands including HP, Comcast, Sprint and Adobe. Stowell left the agency side to focus on directing and developing original content.
After building upon his experience as a technical director at RG/A in New York City, Linnell founded broadcast design company UV (now UV/Phactory), creating network identities for MTV, VH1, HBO and others. Once in San Francisco, he designed a tabletop motion control robot affectionately known as "MAXINE," expanding his capabilities as a director of photography. Linnell's work has been featured in major campaigns for clients including Sprint, Gillette, Canon and Sony.
