Created by Aljosha Klimov and Iouri Stepanov, Season 1 of the series now available on Prime Video, Tubi, and Plex in the U.S. and Canada.

Lakeside Animation and Vortex Media announced the AVOD release of Red Iron Road across multiple platforms, including Prime Video, Tubi, and Plex in the U.S. and Canada. Created by Aljosha Klimov and Iouri Stepanov, the first season of the animated horror anthology showcases six directors' chilling visions of six authors’ tales.

Viewers in Australia and New Zealand can watch the anthology on Prime Video or Tubi. It will also be available on Prime in the U.K.

“Lakeside is thrilled to share our new series with the world,” said Stepanov, “We are immensely proud of the series and all the hard work all the directors and creative teams have put into it. Audiences will never forget their journey along the Red Iron Road.”

Production began in early 2020 with co-production partner Studio Metrafilms Moldova. Creative teams across Canada and Europe crafted six terrifying tales of the macabre in close collaboration with Lakeside and Metra. The anthology is co-produced by Stepanov and his studio Lakeside Animation with Studio Metrafilms.

The series has developed a cult following on the global film festival circuit, having screened at Annecy Festival; Screamfest LA; FilmQuest; Toronto After Dark; Blood in the Snow; New York City Horror Film Festival; Tokyo Anime Award Festival; Crystal Palace Film Festival in London; Ottawa International Animation Festival; and Phoenix International Horror & Sci-Fi Film Festival.

Season 2 of Red Iron Road is in the works, with the first episode, “In The Heat,” competing at the 2023 Annecy Festival and Ottawa International Animation Festival. The remaining five new Season 2 episodes are in pre-production and will be available in Q4 of 2024.
