Makers of animated and live-action short films, as well as countries submitting films in the Foreign Language Film Award category, must submit their entry forms and supporting materials to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for 76th Academy Awards consideration by Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2003.
Entries in the Short Films categories must submit the entry form, film synopsis, cast and credits list, stills, film print and proof of qualifying exhibition or festival win. Screenings of the Live-Action and Animated Short Film screenings will start in November.

The 76th Academy Award nominations will be announced at the Academy's Samuel Goldwyn Theater on January 27, 2004. Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2003 will be presented on February 29, 2004, from the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, and will be televised live on ABC beginning at 5:30 pm.
