Two-month incubation project in Viborg, Denmark is open to 15 animation creatives from Bolivia, Columbia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela.
VIBORG, DENMARK -- ANDIMATION is a program designed by The Animation Workshop - Via University College - Scandinavia’s leading animation institution. It will consist of activities in the areas of education, culture, communication and business. The workshop consists of 2 months of incubation in Viborg (Denmark) for 15 participants from 5 countries in South America: Bolivia, Columbia, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela. The participants will be animation creatives with a background in directing, concept artist, writing and producing with an entrepreneurial knack. They will work in 5, 3-person teams to develop a concept for an animated TV series.
In December, all of the teams will pitch their concept during the TIFA. In January-May, the selected team, will produce a pilot episode of the series in Bolivia
ANDIMATION endeavors to be the beginning of a broad movement for the animation sector in the Andean Region countries. By combining strengths and creating story universes the participants will work together to communicate and discover commonalities while creating new ones. While revealing local identities and values ANDIMATION hopes to facilitate understanding between the people of the Andean Region. This will serve to nurture more cooperation and co-production in the region as well as encourage local creative voices to pursue ambitious international projects.
