Animators, Ink celebrates its 5th anniversary. This year, 2006 marks the re-launch party for Animators, Ink, celebrating the unveiling of a brand new website on the evening of the event, featuring interactive functions such as user-managed portfolios, personal bios and resumes of the artists involved. The event will open with a short film screening including works by animation veterans such as Signe Baumane, Bill Plympton, PES and Pat Smith, as well as animation by Christi Bertelsen, Chris Conforti, Stieg Retlin, Nelson Diaz and Dominka Juraszek. This year also marks the debut of a film created by a writer, in addition to its program. A reception will immediately follow the presentation featuring the world famous Amanda Lepore as "Jessica Rabbit" along with NYC-renowned DJ Vito Fun providing a mix of 80s and 90s until midnight.
