Stephen Lang (AVATAR) is in talks to star in FOX's sci-fi TV series TERRA NOVA, reports Deadline.com. He would star with Jason O'Mara. The show follows colony of humans in the future who go back to prehistoric times in order to set the planet straight. Lang would play the charming, but harsh, Terra Nova colony leader. Alex Graves will direct the pilot.
In other TERRA NOVA news, exec producer David Fury has exited the series over creative differences. Brannon Braga, the series' showrunner, is now the only writing exec producer on the show.
20th Century Fox TV, Chernin Entertainment, Kapital Entertainment and DreamWorks TV are producing.
