6-time Emmy-nominated actor, TV’s notorious ‘Breaking Bad’ fixer, joins Bill Burr’s hilariously raunchy, expletive-enhanced animated comedy.
Netflix has just seriously brightened our day: six-time Emmy-nominated Jonathan Banks has joined Season 4 of Bill Burr’s hilariously raunchy animated comedy, F Is for Family, which thankfully, is coming soon! How soon, well, you never really know how soon anything’s coming these days. Except, well, maybe more armed confrontations at State Capitol buildings. Or my valiant but ill-fated attempts at baking soda bread in a cast iron Dutch oven.
But, in a welcome bit of good news (hats off to SGN and John Krasinski), Banks, the deliciously notorious “fixer,” Mike Ehrmantraut, from Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, will star as the show’s expletive-embracing patriarch's elusive pops, Big Bill Murphy.
Back in January of last year, Netflix announced a 10-episode F Is for Family Season 4 pickup. Inspired by the life of stand-up comic Bill Burr, who voices the lead role, the series “transports viewers back to the 1970s, a time when political correctness, helicopter parenting, and indoor smoking bans weren’t part of anyone’s vocabulary, let alone the norm.” It also features the voices of Laura Dern, Justin Long and Sam Rockwell. And now JB!!!
