San Francisco’s Cartoon Art Museum continues to offer innovative educational programs, events and exhibitions during its search for a new home.
SAN FRANCISCO -- The Cartoon Art Museum began in 1984 with an idea. Collectors, enthusiasts, and artists banded together to share their love of cartoon and comic art with the public. Three decades later, that simple idea has grown into hundreds of first-class exhibitions, educational programs, lecture series, publications, and a deeper appreciation of this wonderful art form. Many of the world’s top creative talents have passed through their doors for presentations, receptions, and to connect with their fans.
That’s quite a legacy, and one that is being built upon (literally!). However, they need your help to succeed. The Cartoon Art Museum is excited about all of the opportunities that lie ahead as they develop plans for the museum’s next chapter. During the museum’s search for a new home they have continued to offer innovative educational programs, events and exhibitions through new partnerships with local museums and libraries. This fall look for a new website, classes in their temporary office space, and activities all around San Francisco.
