Cartoon Connection Canada will take place October 28 to 31 at Loews Hôtel Le Concorde, with the side event Mini Pixel taking place October 29.
Mini Pixel, a side event during Cartoon Connection Canada, is scheduled for Tuesday, October 29 at the Loews Hôtel Le Concorde. Three master classes will be given by David Lesperance, Ken Fountain and Stephen Melagrano. A number of local studios, students and other professionals have signed up for these classes. "Mini Pixel and Cartoon Connection bring together 400 individuals under one roof. This is a great opportunity to meet interesting people and have access to highly targeted content," says Louis Leclerc, general manager of Pixel Québec and Cartoon Connection Canada co-organizer.
Today's new platforms ─ tablets, video on demand, online servers and smartphones ─ have all come increasingly into use in recent years. What solutions, new opportunities or even new funding or business models does this digital shift bring? Key representatives from Bell Media/Sympatico, TOU.TV and Videotron will address these issues and try to find solutions as they discuss this new market with Cartoon Connection participants.

Cartoon Connection participants will tour five animation and video game studios: Ubisoft, Frima Studio, Beenox, Squeeze Studio and Cortex Media. The three-hour tour of St-Roch takes place on the morning of Thursday, October 31. This is a great opportunity to showcase our know-how and infrastructures to foreign professionals.
