London -- Ludorum plc, a leading specialist in the creation of global pre-school children's IP, announced that it has secured an acquisition from the BBC’s CBeebies Channel for a fourth series of the pre-school hit, Chuggington.
Chuggington series four consists of 26 x 10 minute episodes and will commence delivery from spring 2013 through to spring 2014. The agreement brings the total number of Chuggington episodes to available to 118 x 10 minutes plus 46 x 4 minute interstitials. The new series of Chuggington is expected to launch on the channel from autumn 2013.
The brand new adventures find the three trainees, Wilson, Brewster and Koko, moving up to their next level of training – taking on new apprenticeships and guided by new mentors. Series four delivers the same cast of characters, as well as the positive values and developmental lessons plus even more action, more adventure, more heroes, new characters and new locations.
Now airing in over 178 countries in 27 languages, Chuggington is loved by pre-schoolers around the world and continues to experience unprecedented ratings with strong performances in the UK, Australia, Germany, Norway, Poland, Russia, Korea and ever-growing audiences in Japan and the US. Pre-schoolers in emerging markets will have the opportunity to hop on board the Chuggington adventure throughout 2012 and 2013 as the series launches on television for the first time in India, China and Latin America.
