The updated renderer features a new Procedural Cloud System plus a slew of new tools to speed up the 3D design process.
Corona Pattern: Tile 3D geometry is used like 2D bitmaps and textures - by repeating the geometry across surfaces and objects, Corona Pattern offers greater realism while reducing the memory requirements typically needed when using displacement
Chaos Scatter: The popular feature has been expanded in the latest update with Edge Trimming allowing artists to control the borders of their scatters. This feature also removes the signs of CG by making certain objects don’t intersect unnaturally.
Out-of-Core Texture Rendering: With this feature, designers will also see savings in textures and maps loaded using Corona Bitmap without reducing quality.
Shutter Curve for Motion Blur: This feature allows the customization of how the shutter opens/closes over time, helping users create everything from artistic looks to ghosting effects in their imagery.
field (DoF) option: A new option for Corona 9 allows artists to apply adjustments to fisheye lenses to create looks not achievable in the real world.
