The knockout series NINJAGO: Masters of Spinjitzu returns to Cartoon Network with four one-hour specials, with the first special airing Wednesday January 29 at 7 p.m. (ET, PT). As the saga resumes, the Gold Ninja have claimed victory in the Final Battle with the Overlord ushering in a new era of peace.
In the first special, the Ninjas are called back into action as the spirit of the defeated Overlord has infected the electric grid of Ninjago and is using all available technology to exact his revenge on Lloyd, the Ultimate Spinjitzu Master. Nowhere is safe for the Ninja as they are hunted by the Digital Overlord’s evil robotic army, the Nindroids. The only chance for the Ninja to survive is to learn the secrets of the Techno blades.
CartoonNetwork.com will unveil a new NINJAGO: Masters of Spinjitzu game on Monday, January 20. In “Rise of the Nindroids,” Sensei Wu has been ambushed by Nindroids and is being held captive by the Digital Overlord in the tower of Ninjago city. In order to rescue him, players must use all the Ninjas and their powers to fight their way through three levels, defeat loads of Ninjadroids and put a stop to the Overlord. At each level, players can switch between different ninjas in order to make use of their individual powers and weapons to get to the end.
NINJAGO: Masters of Spinjitzu premiered on Cartoon Network in January 2012 and quickly became a ratings powerhouse. On average, seasons one and two of NINJAGO: Masters of Spinjitzuwere the #1 programs on Wednesday nights (7-9p) with kids 2-11/6-11 and all key boys on all TV, while #1 with kids 9-14 on basic cable. The series is based on the best-selling line of LEGO construction toys.
