Collider Conference & NYU Launch VFX Survey

The COLLIDER Digital Production Conference and NYU announce a survey to gauge current attitudes and perceptions among visual effects industry artists and professionals, with the results to be revealed at the June 10 VFX Town Hall meeting.

TheCOLLIDER Digital Production Conference and NYU are conducting a survey to gauge current attitudes and perceptions among visual effects industry artists and professionals.

This joint COLLIDER/NYU survey is designed to tap more into the emotional response VFX worker have towards the current crisis in the VFX industry.  It will complement the online, real-time survey about trends in business practices and workplace conditions that will take place during the Town Hall meeting. 

The survey is ongoing through 11:59PM EDT, June 9, 2013. The findings will be presented on the evening of June 10 during the VFX Town Hall: COLLIDER 2013, which kicks off at 6:00PM EDT at the COLLIDER conference venue. The event will feature a distinguished panel of industry experts discussing the current state of the visual effects industry. 

In addition to a panel of experts on stage in New York, VFX Town Hall: COLLIDER 2013 will also feature a Google+ Hangout session with representatives from major VFX production centers around the world taking part, including Sydney, London, Berlin, Mexico City and others. 

Moderated by veteran 2D compositor and visual effects artist Mariana Acuña – known to many as @vfxchick on Twitter and moderator of an earlier VFX town hall held this last Pi Day (March 14) – the discussion will provide a forum for all viewpoints and will include the following panelists:
