CyberAgent Drops ‘The Summer Hikaru Died’ Trailer, Ending Theme Song

Anime series adaptation of the manga by Mokumokuren, which follows a boy who experiences strange incidents with an entity impersonating his best friend, will stream on Netflix this Summer.

CyberAgent has revealed the main trailer, theme song, and additional cast for The Summer Hikaru Died, the anime series adaptation of the manga by Mokumokuran. The show streams on Netflix this summer.

The horror series follows the ordinary high school boy Yoshiki, who experiences strange incidents with Hikaru, a mysterious being who imitates his best friend, Hikaru Indou.

The recently revealed main trailer features the series ending theme song “Anata wa Kaibutsu (you are my monster),” performed by TOOBOE. Additional cast includes Yumiri Hanamori, Wakana Kowaka, and Chikahiro Kobayashi, who join the previously announced Chiaki Kobayashi and Shuichiro Umeda.

Ryohei Takeshita directs, with animation production by CygamesPictures. Masanobu Hiraoka animates for DORODORO. Yuichi Takahashi is the chief animation director. 2D design is by Yusuke Nagara and Yuri Tsue.
