With the Weinstein's found footage flick APOLLO 18 already scaring away Roland Emmerich's found footage flick THE ZONE, Warner Bros. has dropped its found footage sci-fi tale DARK MOON, reports Heat Vision. However, Dark Castle is in talks to pick up the project in turnaround.
DARK MOON is based on a spec script by Olatunde Osunsanmi (THE FOURTH KIND). This film is even similar to APOLLO 18 in that it uncovers never-before-seen recordings of moon missions after Apollo 17 and what they discovered on the satellite's surface.
Weed Road's Akiva Goldsman will remain a producer.
