AOL Music has premiered the new video from Grammy Award-winning artists Destinys Child for their version of the holiday classic RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER. The video transports the super group to the North Pole and animates them with the same stop-motion techniques used in Rankin & Bass RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER. Destinys Child recorded the single for an exclusive bonus CD included within the special 40th Anniversary Collectors Edition RUDOLPH DVD from Classic Media and Sony Wonder. This premiere is part of the AOL Music First View program, which regularly debuts hotly anticipated new videos before they air anywhere else.
The video will be available exclusively for 24 hours at www.aolmusic.com beginning Dec. 9, 2004.
Toronto- based Head Gear Animation was tapped to produce the music video and Cannes Palme dOr- winning director Jesse Rosensweet helmed the project. The video opens with Destinys Child in session at North Pole Studios where they are laying down the vocal tracks for RUDOLPH. The camera tracks the superstars as they snowboard, meet the most famous reindeer of all and get down with him and other woodland creatures in a dance break.
