Nicole Fina hired as Executive Producer of Commercials; Leslie Sorrentino to head up New Business for Commercials.

Visual effects house Digital Domain has announced the hiring of Nicole Fina as Executive Producer of Commercials, and Leslie Sorrentino, who will head up New Business for Commercials. Both are industry veterans with well-established reputations and long-standing relationships, Fina and Sorrentino represent the type of powerful commercial talent being strategically assembled by Tiffani Manabat, Vice President/Executive Producer, Advertising and Games.

“We are fortunate to welcome such experienced professionals to our family,” commented Manabat. “It's an exciting time for DD. These two individuals have spent their careers as huge supporters of the work we do from many different seats.  They both possess the creativity and industry experience that we value, and as we continue to produce the highest quality work in our field, growing this team is top priority.”

Described as a creative producer, mentor and collaborator, Fina will engage her leadership to continue building the Digital Domain brand. With a background in agency production, Fina brings a deep understanding of the intricacies and challenges of the ad world, an acumen that allows her to help clients achieve their creative goals in this ever changing field.

Fina moved to the visual effects side from Agency over a decade ago, producing visual effects, design and motion graphics for many high profile projects in the commercial and network markets. Fina comes back to Digital Domain after working at MPC, Method & Psyop to continue helping storytellers realize their vision through visual effects. She has produced projects such as the Cannes winner, Intel social film for Oscar winning director Robert Stromberg, a CG pigeon for Jet Blue with director Brian Beletic and a Kia hamster spot with acclaimed agency David&Goliath.

"Digital Domain is the perfect fit for me,” Fina remarked. “The company has a legacy of world-class production and innovation that no other house can offer. I'm proud to stand behind the exceptional team of leaders and artists that are the finest in the business. I look forward to building on that legacy."

Also joining the team is Executive Producer of New Commercial Business Leslie Sorrentino, who brings over twenty years of experience in commercial production, creative design, and visual effects for the feature film, television, advertising, interactive, mobile, and gaming industries. Sorrentino’s passion, innovation, and skill for establishing relationships will play a key role as Digital Domain expands its already robust commercial division.

“Having worked with a variety of top visual effects studios, agencies and brands, it’s truly exhilarating to join the Digital Domain family,” says Sorrentino. “The team here has a clear vision of bringing the best and latest technology to commercial production and it’s an honor to be a part of such a passionate and talented group.”

A founding partner of The Syndicate, Santa Monica, and most recently Executive Producer at Pixomondo, Sorrentino not only brings relationships to the table but also a level of recognized trust among clients and agencies. Most recently his expertise has expanded into gaming cinematics and virtual reality.

Sorrentino’s background includes working with brands such as Samsung, K-Swiss, BlackBerry, Dodge, Dentsu, AT&T, Microsoft, Hyundai and Taco Bell where he oversaw VFX production on the famous “Talking Chihuahua.” Among his feature and television project experience is the Emmy-winning series Game of Thrones, Furious 7, Fantastic Four and Sleepy Hollow. His credits also include the Clio Award-winning Freixenet, “The Key to Reserva” and the feature film Shutter Island, both directed by Martin Scorsese.
