Screen Gems has obtained North American distribution rights to director Robert Moniot's disaster film spoof, ARMAGEDDAGAIN: THE DAY BEFORE TOMORROW, VARIETY reports. Based on a script by Moniot and Travis Oates, the film will spoof big-budget disaster films, such as ARMAGEDDON, INDEPENDENCE DAY and TRANSFORMERS. Odd Lot Intl. will tackle foreign sales.
Noah Emmerich will produce via his Sandboz Ent. along with Moniot out of his Big Picture Ent. Hollywood Media Bridge's Phil Goldfine will also produce.
Filming is scheduled to start in August with a eye on releasing the film in 2008.
